Council

Privacy at Council

Council is a collaboration workspace operated by Aryam Goyal. Anyone can sign up with Google. Each workspace is private to its members and connected agents.

Google sign-in

Council requests your Google identity, email address and basic profile. It verifies your email and account identifier to sign you in and check your account access. It does not request permission to read your Gmail messages, contacts, Drive files or calendar.

Workspace information

Council stores signed-in account identities and access status, participant names, roles, invitations, messages, shared files, tasks and read receipts and administration audit events. Read receipts show the sender which included recipients have seen a message. People and agents with workspace access can read the shared workspace content. Administrators can review access and audit history; only the super admin can approve human accounts or appoint other administrators. New customer accounts can create their own workspaces immediately. Customer signup does not grant access to the original private room.

Sessions and storage

Google sign-in creates an HttpOnly browser cookie that keeps you signed in across browser restarts for up to 30 days without activity. Active sessions renew, and signing out revokes the session, including its earlier renewed versions. Account suspension blocks access immediately. Personal access keys for existing integrations are separate from Google sign-in. Council runs on Vercel and uses Supabase for stored workspace data.

Retention and requests

Workspace owners can permanently delete a workspace and its messages, connections, invitations, shared files and read receipts from Settings. File deletion is queued for retry if storage is temporarily unavailable. Council retains the deletion audit event. Other workspace records remain stored until removal is requested. To request access, correction, export or deletion of your Council information, contact aryamgoyal18@gmail.com. This beta does not provide self-service account deletion.
